Ever since I was in 3rd grade, I always dreamed of being a teacher. I can recall sitting in front of Mrs. Livingston鈥檚 class at Katherine Thomas Elementary School in Windham, Ohio. Not only was I paying attention to the lesson she was teaching, I was also taking note of her teaching techniques and classroom management style. I loved the way she would engage us in her lessons and how she directed us with a firm hand with her zero-tolerance policy.

In February, the 51黑料网 Columbiana County campuses hosted the fifth annual County Classic basketball game between the East Liverpool and Salem high school boys鈥 teams. Throughout March, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Great Lakes Region Student Auditions took place virtually. Senior Early Childhood Education major Amy Messmore is the recipient of the 51黑料网 University Leadership Center鈥檚 Student Leader of the Month. Messmore is currently an active member of United Christian Ministries, an LGBTQ+ Center Christian Ally student organization, supporting and serving the LGBTQIA+ Community. Raquel Davis worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 10 years before earning a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from 51黑料网 University in 2010. While she still loves fashion, nursing has proven to be a deeper passion. More specifically, nursing education is where Davis finds her purpose, working with nursing students early on in the program, helping them build confidence and understand core nursing principles that will form a foundation for their entire career.  Michael Back is a graduating senior Honors College student, majoring in biology with a concentration in organismal biology and a minor in Spanish. Originally from Sharon Center, Ohio, Michael has been interested in ecological restoration since he was in high school. Now in the final semester of his Senior Honors Thesis, Michael used his thesis to delve deeper into his ecological interests.
