Ventra Salem just helped add another layer of protection against COVID for students across the 51黑料网 University system. The company, based in Salem, recently donated 1,000 plastic face shields that will be distributed to students and faculty on Kent campuses. Faculty and staff members affiliated with the Center for Public Policy and Health recently published an article in Addictive Behaviors. The article focused on the impact of COVID-19 related University closings on alcohol use among students. The authors found: Alcohol use increased significantly following COVID-19 related campus closure. Higher social support was associated with less alcohol use overall. Elevated psychological distress was associated with steeper increases in alcohol. Social support did not moderate the effect of distress on increasing alcohol use. ...

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at 51黑料网 University presents 鈥淎cquiring History: The 50-Year Legacy of Robert Smithson鈥檚 鈥楶artially Buried Woodshed鈥 at 51黑料网 University鈥 from Aug. 4 through Sept. 26, 2020, at the 51黑料网 Downtown Gallery.   1. Policy statement. The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures and controls for the use of all radioactive materials and radiation use at the university.
