This spring, 51ºÚÁÏÍø School of Art M.F.A. alumni Violet Maimbourg successfully defended her thesis during the school's annual M.F.A. thesis exhibition, where she presented a number of carnival-themed works featuring sculptures and some kinetic pieces. "This experience has been so incredible. Being able to meet new people while also experiencing and learning about the land, organisms, and indigenous culture has been truly eye opening. Australia has some of the most unique plants and animals, and focuses so strongly on conservation and sustainability, making it such breath of fresh air for me as well as the rest of my peers on this trip. The opportunity to study abroad is one I'm always grateful for and will stick with me forever."
