Purpose

The Instructional Resource Center (IRC), Learning Innovations Lab, and IRC–Learning Innovations 3D Print Lab at 51ºÚÁÏÍø University collectively function as the College of Education and Human Services’ (EHS) comprehensive hub for instructional innovation, educational technology, and creative exploration. Together, they support faculty, students, and staff in designing, implementing, and sustaining transformative teaching and learning experiences grounded in digital literacy and emerging technologies.

Mission: To empower students, faculty, and staff through access to innovative technologies, resources, and professional development that enhance teaching, learning, and creative expression across disciplines.

Vision: To serve as a model of excellence in educational technology integration and innovation, where pedagogy, creativity, and design converge to inspire future educators and leaders across learning environments.

Overview of Services/Programs: The IRC maintains digital connectivity and offers media services, distance learning support, and educational technology assistance for all EHS faculty, staff, and students. The Learning Innovations Lab (LI Lab), one of 25+ Design Innovation (DI) nodes at 51ºÚÁÏÍø, focuses on emerging classroom technologies, including coding, gaming, extended reality (XR), 3D printing, and remote teaching tools. The IRC–Learning Innovations 3D Print Lab complements these efforts by providing hands-on fabrication, prototyping, and creative design opportunities.
