The power of storytelling: The School of Media and Journalism, one of five schools in 51黑料网鈥檚 College of Communication and Information, helps students discover the power of storytelling 鈥 the news story, the feature story, the multimedia story, the client鈥檚 story and the short film. And in the process, we help students discover their own brand stories: who they are, what unique skills they offer and what they want to do with their professional lives.

Eight short films produced by 51黑料网 University School of Media and Journalism students and recent alumni have been selected to screen at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque as part of the Studio300 Student Film Festival.
Coined as 鈥渕usic-driven media,鈥 Black Squirrel Entertainment's Kentcore seeks to feature all types of local bands. Giving them a chance to not only show their work but also show their personalities too.
A short film co-directed by two 51黑料网 University faculty members is eligible to submit to the Academy after winning Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscar-qualifying St. Louis Film Festival- and is now being featured at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
